A monomoamine oxidase inhibitor is hydroxylamine hydrochloride. In organic synthesis, it is used to create oximes and hydroxmic acids. It serves as an inhibitor of copolymerization. During the extraction of lignin from lignocellulosic biomass, it is possible to use it to remove bromine and polybromide from a solution.
